The beginning of our Major Paint Correction Detail starts as all of our Details do, using the Exterior Section of our Aesthetic Detailed Clean, in preparation for work to begin.
This is our highest possible level of Correction. Using an array of Machine Polishing techniques and Wet Sanding when necessary.
Our objective is to safely extract the best possible finish from your paint surface. Thus, resulting in a far superior finish than that of when the vehicle was ‘new’. Prior to any Machine Polishing, paint depth measurements are taken from each panel. This enables us to determine whether we have a safe level of clear coat/lacquer to work with in order to remove deeper defects. This will also highlight if a panel on your vehicle has received any aftermarket paintwork, which can also have an effect on the final product.

THE PROCESS…
The process consists of a Multi-Stage Cutting, Refining and Jewelling combination. The defects we are looking to erase include, swirls marks, random deep scratches, bird droppings etching, Bodyshop buffer trails/holograms and sanding marks. Naturally, not every defect can be removed completely, but in most cases, these can be improved.
Slight compromises are necessary on older Vehicles and perfection is not always possible, but this does not compromise our approach and end goal.

In 2021…
In 2021, we have taken the decision to automatically include a Ceramic Coating as part of this process. When joining our Maintenance Detail Plan, your Vehicle will receive the correct level of care and provide this Ceramic Coating with up to 60 months of life expectancy.
As an additional bonus, we also Machine Polish the Windscreen and include a Glass Sealant, keeping your vision clear and smear free.
